Editing & Production
A meticulous copyediting and proofreading pass that catches what earlier rounds were never meant to catch — the final check before your manuscript goes to formatting.
Proofreading is a distinct skill from copyediting and developmental editing alike, applied only after a manuscript's content and structure are finalized. Our proofreading services focus narrowly on errors — grammar, punctuation, spelling, spacing, and formatting consistency — not on rewriting or restructuring what's already been approved.
This pass happens after your structural and line edits are complete and immediately before formatting, so nothing new gets introduced after the final check. We also offer a standalone copyediting pass for manuscripts that haven't been through a full editorial round.
Copyediting Pass
Grammar, punctuation, and consistency corrected at the sentence level before the final proof.
Final-Pass Focus
A dedicated read for errors alone, done after content and structure are locked.
Continuity Checking
Names, timelines, and details checked for consistency from first page to last.
Pre-Formatting Timing
Scheduled as the last step before interior formatting and publishing.

Often paired with Proofreading and Editing.
Editing tuned to age-appropriate language, rhythm, and read-aloud pacing.
